Chateau de Chantilly is a very famous monument housing the famous historical manuscripts. The place is also renowned for the historical significance. The Chateau de Chantilly covers an area of 7,800 hectares and is located in the large forest called Le Massif de Trois Forets. The Chateau has been built by the Chantilly family. The Chateau has as many as 2,500 drawings, the biggest after the Louvre museum. There are 1500 manuscripts.

The Chateau de Chantilly also has a famous beautiful park adorning the chateau with an English garden complete with an island, waterfall and a temple. The place also has a particular Le Musee Vivant du Cheval which actually houses some grand looking stables where almost 30 different types of ponies and horses are to be found and the ponies seem to be performing some dress exercises for the entertainment of the tourists coming to visit the chateau.

The chateau is immensely popular for these stables as the visitors seem to particularly drawn towards the horses and beautiful looking ponies. The waterfall and the temple are both very beautiful and are liked by all.

How to reach:

One can reach the Chateau de Chantilly by any forms of transport convenient to the tourists. It is less than an hour's drive from Paris. One needs to get off at the Eglise Notre Dame stop and then walk down to the Chateau from the terminal.
