The Avenue des Champs-Élysées, Paris was created by Andre le Notre who was the gardener of Loius XIV as a measure to improve the view from the garden of Tuileries. Towards the end of the 18th Century the length of the avenue was lengthened. It now ran to the Arc de Triomphe from the Palace de la Concorde. This avenue is beautiful indeed and the two kilometers of space is long and bordered with lush green trees. On Bastille Day there is a huge military parade that passes the Champs-Élysées. This is one of the largest parades in the whole of Europe and it is reviewed the President of the Republic. The Avenue des Champs-Élysées, Paris is decorated with special lighting from November to December and the sight is worth watching. This special lighting is provided by the Champs-Élysées committee.
