The city of Berlin offers you diverse ways to liven up your nightlife. From swanky
nightclubs, to Irish pubs, to a street full of restaurants where you could go
"nightwalking" to stylish cocktail bars Berlin has it all. In fact there
are so many ways of having a wild night out that you might not know where to start.
The Savigny-Platz in Charlottenburg has quite a number of exclusive bars and
restaurants and is an ideal place for people watching. The city's rich and famous
frequent this area's bars and nightclubs. Another area where you are likely
to rub shoulders with Berlin's elite is around Gendarmenmarkt where most of
the city's trendiest bars are found.
If you'd rather be seen partying with the pretty young things of Berlin then
you should head to the Pariser Straße part of town. There are lots of
taverns, bars, along with modern nightclubs.
The pubs and bars scene is very sophisticated in Berlin and cocktail bars are
more popular than beer gardens. The party starts pretty late here. The watering
holes are virtually empty at around 9 and people start trickling in by 10 and
in most places the party starts "properly" only by 11.
As in most European cities, Berlin too has a lot of Irish bars. You could chose
to plonk yourself on the bar with a pint of Guinness and watch football English
commentary in the Irish bars or enjoy some good old foot-tapping Irish music.
The Irish Pub at Europacenter at Tauenzien Strasse is pretty popular in Berlin.
Among the sophisticated clubs in Berlin some popular ones are:-
Delicious Doughnuts is a nice cozy venue with a relaxed atmosphere and a fun
lively crowd.
40 seconds is a rather elegant club with dinner area and amazing view over
the Potsdamer Platz
Adagio: this club mostly a haunt for the rich and famous.
Rio is the best place to go to if you want listen to some good electronica.
