President of the United States of America and chancellor Schröder has dined
here which also brought the restaurant a lot of fame. The restaurant is a must
visit for all those who love to dine in a down to earth place where the menu
is substantially inexpensive. During the summer months, diners have the choice
to dine outside which offers a picturesque view of the Kollwitzplatz.
The menu at the Gugelhof in Berlin is not very expensive. Some of the dishes
on the menu recommended include the traditional Elsace specialties like stew
or the Choucroute Gugelhof (sauerkraut and potatoes with sausage and assorted
meat). Infact Bill Clinton feasted on the Choucroute Gugelhof and said "Thankyou
for the excellent meal" before leaving the restaurant.
Gugelhof, Berlin is open from Monday to Friday on 6PM to 12AM. During the weekends,
the restaurant remains open from 10 AM to 12AM because of the heavy rush. All
