The art and architecture of church of Peace is the most significant one, and you must include this church in your itinerary of Germany. The church of Peace is a columnar church. It has three naves and a free-standing bell tower. The religious Frederick William IV, had craved for a flat coffered ceiling on the inside, of the church with gold stars on a blue base painted on the panels. From the early 13th century an original Venetian tessellated decorates the church's apse.
If you are interested to know more about the objects of art and architecture of the church of peace, then you must go through the list that is given bellow:
• The Venetian tessellated- It shows, the enthroned Christ with the Book of Life, and the right hand is upheld in blessing. On the Apse there is also a short message, according to Martin Luther's translation: "Lord, I have love for the site of your house and the place where your glory resides.” This is a major object of art and architecture of the church of Peace.
• The altar canopy, which rests on four dark green columns, was a gift from the Russian Czar Nicholas I. It is now installed in the Church of Peace.
• The free-standing, 42 m high campinale that is a bell tower. The tower has seven open floors. There are four bells, named Gratia, Clementia, Pax and Gloria. All are located on the third floor above the clockwork.
• An aedicula that is a column-bearing dais bears the paint called "Jesus in Gethsemane" by Eduard Steinbrück.
• The large statue of Christ on the fountain is a copy of the marble original which was created in 1821 by Bertel Thorvaldsen. The original one is located in the Copenhagen Church of Our Lady
In the right-hand aisle lies the former baptismal font. After the death of Frederick William IV, the counterpart to the baptismal font was used temporarily as a mausoleum for him and for other deceased members of the house of Hohenzollern As the king died following several strokes on 2 January 1861, his coffin was placed there. He was laid in the ground at the feet of his parent’s grave. In 1873 his wife Elisabeth Ludovika followed him to the grave.
