Deutsche Oper am Rhein is a famous opera company based in Dusseldorf, Germany. This company has however presence in another major German city named Duisburg. Deutsche Oper am Rhein or the German Opera of the Rhine performs in the Düsseldorf Opernhaus and the Theater Duisburg. Both these opera buildings were destroyed in allied bombing of Dusseldorf in the Second World War. Conducted by John Fiore and directed by the famous musical director Tobias Richter; the opera fills up to the capacity.

Düsseldorf Opernhaus was constructed in the year 1875. The construction of this opera venue had established a connection between these cities. The connection lasted from 1887 to 1920. After 1920, the connection snapped and was re-established in the year 1955 with Deutsche Oper am Rhein having been created.
