Fine Art Fair Frankfurt

Fine Art Fair in Frankfurt is an important event in the city’s calendar. It is the most important German Art Fair in during spring. The fair showcases up-to-date and youthful fashion. The fair organizers are flooded with applications and more than 700 are received on a regular basis. Out of the total applications about 190 international galleries get to participate in the event. A number of galleries participate in the event for the first time every year. Most of these galleries offer art work for sale by over 2,000 artists. The Fine Fair is organized on the most modern exhibition hall in the whole of Europe, namely Hall 3 on the Frankfurt Fairground.

The focal points in the programme of events for this trade fair are galleries exhibiting collections that are partly established and partly contemporary under the slogan "Art from 1960". The other program during the Fine Art Fair would be featuring galleries that have on display the most modern art in the "New Attitudes" exhibit category. A number of galleries also display installation art and works by young artists that have up until now never been seen at a trade fair.

The "Curator´s Choice" exhibition series is also a special feature of the Frankfurt Art Festival. The aim of "Curator´s Choice" is to give young curators and critics the opportunity to display their quite personal views on current art production in the form of a non-commercial exhibition. Visitors will thus be given an insight into scenes in each respective country that have not yet been discovered by the wider international world.

The Fine Art Fair in Frankfurt is normally held in the month of April or May. Art collectors and those with an interest in art attend the festival from all over the world in large numbers. One of three main sponsors of this festival is Art Frankfurt.
