It is located in the center of Frankfurt, on the south side of the Frankfurt Cathedral and the museum is placed in the first floor the historical building Leinwandhaus. The museum was founded in the year 1984 and since then it has proved to be the hottest destination for the amateur as well as professional photographers. Fotografie Forum International or FFI primarily focuses on the contemporary and historical photography of international importance. It boasts of an amazing collection of local and international photographs, which will mesmerize you.

The museum houses numerous exhibitions all throughout the year that focus on the changing trends and the different aspects of photography. Apart from exhibitions, the museum also plays host to gallery talks, seminars, forums and workshops on photography. These discussions highlight on different aspects of the photographic image: photojournalism, fashion, art, science or advertising. Fotografie Forum International has also been responsible for launching and premiering many talented and cutting edge photographers to the German art scene.

Fotografie Forum International in Frankfurt is open on all days of the week except on Monday. From Tuesday to Friday, the museum is open from 11 am to 6 pm and from Saturday to Sunday; it is open from 11 am to 5 pm. The charge of admission to the museum is EUR 4.00 for adults and for the students the cost of admission is EUR 3.00. For groups that include at least ten visitors, the entry fee is EUR 2.00, for each person and if you are a member of the Fotografie Forum International, then you will not have to pay any entry fee.
