Dresden is one of the cities in Germany that is situated beside the River Elbe. The City has a rich cultural history dating back to the Kings of Saxony who all had contributed much to the cultural and artistic magnificence of the city. Also, Dresden is famous for being one of the greenest cities in Europe and it has plenty of Nature Reserves and Protected Gardens.

Dresden has a great cultural and artistic heritage to boast of. It had been home to some of the renowned artists like Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Otto Dix, Richard Strauss, Gottfried Semper and Gret Palucca. The city had been the center of visual art architecture and music up to the first half of 20th century. Theatres: the city abounds in theatre houses that hosts cultural and artistic performances throughout the year.

There is the famous "Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden” which is the orchestra of the Saxton State Opera and is one of the oldest in the city. Also there is Choir groups and the Dresdner Sinfonoker. The latter promotes international musical ensembles in Dresden.

    Museums: The Staatlichen Kunstsammlungen Dresden is the world’s most important museums and features several priceless collections. Also, there are science museums in Dresden and also ones that exclusively display works of art.
