LOCATION OF HAMBURG
Germany - Cologne - Dusseldorf - Frankfurt - Munich - Stuttgart - Hamburg - Berlin
Hamburg is known to be as a city but it also is referred to as the province city. The city has got similar political rights to the Schleswig-Holstein in the North and the Nieder-Sachsen (Lower Saxony) to the south. Thus, Location of Hamburg marks the point which is first the Schleswig-Holstein and then turns to be Denmark.
The North Sea is probably known to be the part of the Atlantic Ocean and the Baltic Sea is situated in the Northern Europe which all bound by the Scandinavian Peninsula.
Location of Hamburg becomes clearer to understand when the reference of the river Elbe is given. The western link is marked by the North Sea which is via this river Elbe itself. The western link connects to the Baltic Sea by the deep sea’s Kiel Canal. There are several more canals which are connected to the North Sea.
Thus the Location of Hamburg can be briefly explained like this. It lies at the junction point of the river Elbe which meets the rivers Alster and Bille. The centre of the city is decorated beautifully with two lakes. The name of the lakes is Binnenalster and the Aussenalster. These lakes are situated just in the middle of the city and thus the Location of Hamburg is properly understood.
The Location of Hamburg is almost in the centre thus making it a major city of trade and commerce. Thus, it has become a major port in Germany. The city takes the best of the eastern part of the North Sea and the west part of the Baltic Sea. The city has thus also become one of the major tourist attractions.
