The Hirschpark, Hamburg was built between 1787 to 1792 by Christian Frederik Hansen but it was as late as 1860 that the deer preserve was opened.
The deer park of Hirschpark, Hamburg is a great place if you want to catsh a glimpse of the shy deer and timid rabbits. The Hirschpark, Hamburg is also home to a large number of colorful birds like the geese, ducks and peacocks. You can even have the pleasure of feeding them with your own hands. The big old trees are ideal for climbing for daring children and a popular hiding place while playing hide-and-seek. It is also a significant landscape park in the English style in Germany.

The Hirschpark, Hamburg is a glorious place when the delicate buds burst into pretty flowers in May spreading their enchanting fragrance far and wide. There is an avenue of rhododendron which is over 200 years and provides an overwhelming sight to the visitors.
The white country house here accommodates a ballet and dance school. At the Hirschpark, Hamburg there is also a children’s park and a refreshment area known as Witthüs Teestuben. It is opened daily from 2pm to 6pm and on Sundays it is open from 10am to 6pm.
