Stuttgart Beer Festival is considered to be the second largest Beer festival in Europe after the Oktoberfest Munich festival. The beer tents are the most popular features in the festival. Another great feature of the Stuttgart Beer Festival is the bands of Oompah which is performed wearing a traditional costume. The merry go round and the roller coaster is the entertainment feature of the festival.
The Stuttgart Beer Festival has got seven large beer tents. The beer tents have their own name or they carry the name of the brewery companies which carry them. The Cannstatter Volksfest located in the festival ground is the world’s largest mobile Ferri wheels. Every three years an agricultural exhibition is conducted. The exhibition has a nominal entrance fee.
Another attraction in the Stuttgart Beer Festival is the French Festival. The French festival is the place where the visitors can enjoy French meals and beverages along with the sweet national music.
The Stuttgart Beer Festival is also marked by the German Reunification. This holiday is celebrated with fireworks. The beginning of the festival is marked by a parade.
The best part of the Stuttgart Beer Festival is the fruit column where a wooden column is decorated with fruits. The column is 26mts high and weighs almost 3.5 tons. The column was banned from the place after the World War I because it represented monarchy. The fruit column again came into existence in the 100th anniversary of the Stuttgart Beer Festival. Every year the column is decorated in a new manner.
