The 160 vehicles in the Museum include some rare models: the exhibits are divided in two categories of rooms- Legend Rooms and Collection Rooms. The Legend Rooms include the models of cars which cover the 120 years of its history in car production; the Collection Rooms show the vehicles in terms of its application and is divided into separate categories like- Voyagers, Carriers, Celebrities, Helpers and Heroes. The category Celebrities receives lot of visitors since it displays models of vehicles which were once owned by celebrities.

The tour to the exhibitions in this Museum in Stuttgart begins with the visitors being taken via lift to the top floor of the building. From there they begin their descent down the floors and witness the Descent of Mercedes along the ages.

Some of the interesting exhibits in the Mercedes-Benz Museum, Stuttgart are

  -   1907 Milnes-Daimler double-decker bus, which roved the streets of London in the early twentieth century.
  -   1939 Mercedes-Benz 320 streamlined sedan, which were considered extremely stylish in the 1930s.
  -   1958 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL is displayed in the Gallery of Celebrities. The model was extremely popular in the 1950s and was owned by celebrities like Grace Kelly, Zsa Gabor and Francoise Sagan.
