The city of Hong Kong is well-linked by an interesting network of roads and flyovers which are again served by different modes of transportation – train, bus, taxi and tram. The Hong Kong Bus Service offers excellent services in and around the city. The airport bus services operate on various routes. The “A” routes are served by the Airbus services which connect places like North Point Ferry Pier, Tsuen Wan, Sha Tin, Fanling and Mui Wo. The fares range from HK$ 14 to HK$ 45 approximately. The “E” routes are served by External Bus Services which cover places like Tai Kok Tsui, Tsueng Kwan, Yau Tong, Tuen Mun and Tai Po Tau. The “N” routes linked by overnight bus services include some places like Tsz Wan Shan, Yuen Long, Mui Wo and Fanling. The “R” routes cover the Lantau Link Toll Plaza. The “S” routes are connected by the Shuttle Bus and the “DB” routes link the Discovery Bay to the Terminal 1. The Hong Kong Bus Service caters to the Airport Express passengers too who can avail the shuttle bus at the Hong Kong station to reach the hotel and vice versa. The City bus Hong Kong Disneyland depart from places like Hung Hom, Yau Tong and North Point. This bus provides sufficient accommodation to the passengers and is completely air-conditioned. It is a double decker bus offering utmost comfort, smooth journey and stunning views from the Tsing Ma Bridge. A lucrative discount is given on the fare. The Hong Kong Island routes, Kowloon and New Territories routes, KCR Feeder bus routes, Lantau Island routes, Cross Harbor and external bus routes are all served by the Public buses. Public Light Buses cater to the Kowloon, New Territories and Hong Kong Island routes. These areas are also served by the Residential Buses. The Hong Kong Bus Service states that the Kowloon Motor Bus owned by a private organization offers quality services to the people of Hong Kong. Fare in this bus is paid by cash or through Octopus Card. Most of these buses are double-decker and air-conditioned. The significant terminals of these buses are Sha Tin, Kwun Tong, Un Long and Lai Chi Kok. The buses mainly operate in the Kowloon and New Territories regions. However they also serve the Cross Harbor Tunnel, and Eastern Harbor and Western Harbor crossings. The city is also well served by the Minibuses. These red colored buses can provide seats to more or less 16 passengers. Since there are no fixed routes, the passengers can enjoy the facility of boarding the bus from and getting off to anywhere they need. The green minibuses have fixed routes. Octopus cards are accepted here. Once the seats are filled up, these buses would not stop to take any more passengers. However, it is recommended if you are not well-acquainted with the city, you may look for other options.
