In the words of Michael Eisner & Donald Tsang, whose unified dreams led to the foundation of the Hong Kong Disneyland in Hong Kong; the amusement park is dedicated “to all who come to this happy place… to enchanted realms of fantasy and adventure, yesterday and tomorrow”. So, it is a place dedicated to everyone who cares to dream and live it out. Located within the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, the Hong Kong Disneyland was the first theme park to build house within its premises. The entire Resort occupies a size measuring 310 acres and counting, as it intends to keep expanding. The Hong Kong Disneyland in Hong Kong, opened doors in the year 2005, on the 12 th of September. The CEO of the Walt Disney Company, Michael Eisner and the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, Donald Tsang Yam Kuen, jointly founded the Disneyland of Hong Kong. The theme park currently falls under the ownership and management of the Hong Kong International Theme Parks. Positioned on reclaimed land in the Lantau Island, it takes about 20 minutes to reach the Hong Kong Disneyland from the Hong Kong International Airport, and 30 minutes from central Hong Kong via the MTR. The Hong Kong Disneyland of Hong Kong has a number of do's and don'ts for its guests that must be strictly adhered to. However, the park is mass friendly with facilities to enable the physically challenged to have access to the park via wheelchair or by bringing service animals. Regular pets, however, are not permitted into the premises. Also the Hong Kong Disneyland in Hong Kong is equipped to entertain foreigners and so all signs and other communications are written in English along with the regular Chinese. The Hong Kong Disneyland in Hong Kong has a total of four themed parks within its scope. They are “Main Street, U.S.A.”, “Adventureland”, “Fantasyland” and “Tomorrowland”. Within these parks are hosted the several entertainments and events. While you can find the Main Street Train Station in the Main Street, U.S.A. section; Adventureland has the Jungle River Cruise, Liki Tikis, Tarzan's Treehouse, Rafts To Tarzan Island and Festival of the Lion King. The Fantasyland has Mickey's PhilharMagic, the Cinderella Carousel, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Snow White Grotto, Fantasy Gardens, The Golden Mickeys, Sleeping Beauty Castle and many more interesting attractions. In Tomorrowland you will find attractions like Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Orbitron, Autopia, Stitch Encounter and UFO Zone. You can get to the doorstep of the Hong Kong Disneyland in Hong Kong via the Disneyland Resort Public Transportation Interchange. The pleasures of commuting within the premises can be best relished by making it on foot; however, there are busses shuttling around the premises too.
