The Law UK Folk Museum, Hong Kong, is a branch of the Hong Kong Museum of History. The museum gives you an insight about the life and culture of the fishermen and squatters who were the original inhabitants of the island. The Hakkas family originally inhabited the house, which has been converted to museum. The interiors of the museum are done in a way so as to give you a feel of that period when the island was only inhabited by those people. Law UK is a Chinese term, which stands for "Law's House". Law was the surname of the original owner of the house. Entrance to the Law UK Folk Museum, Hong Kong is free and is open on all the days except on Thursdays. If you are planning to visit the museum on a Saturday then avoid going there from 1 to 2 in the afternoon. On Sundays the museum is open from 1pm to 6pm. So you can now plan your visit accordingly. You can go there by taking the MTR to the Chai Wan station and from the B exit it is a walk of five minutes to the museum. You can also go there by bus. Take the First Bus No.8 or 84Mfrom the Siu Sai wan, to the Wan Chai Ferry Pier or the Chai Wan MTR station respectively.
