In the year of 1953, the University Museum and Art Gallery, Hong Kong was made. However, the records say that the Fung Ping Shan Building was in fact established in the year 1932 and then it was not a museum. Rather it was a library bearing Chinese books. Fung Ping Shan was the donor of this building and the library got its name from him. The University Museum and Art Gallery, Hong Kong has a huge collection of Chinese antiques. Besides that, there are also collections of ceramic works, various beautiful paintings and bronze works. Some of these materials also belong to the Neolithic period of the Qing dynasty.
