Tsing Ma Bridge Hong Kong
Linking the Tsing Yi and the Ma Wun Islands, over the Ma Wun Channel, is the sixth largest suspension bridge of the world, the Tsing Ma Bridge, Hong Kong.

Work on this bride started in the year 1992 and completed in the year 1997, when it was inaugurated by Baroness Thatcher. The Bridge carries six lanes of vehicle traffic along with two rail tracks. It is said that there are so many cables in this bridge that it could circle the world four times!

The main span length of the Tsing Ma Bridge, Hong Kong is 1, 377 meters and the total length is 2, 160 meters. The total length of the bridge can easily compete with the tallest skyscrapers of the world at 206 meters. It was built as a joint venture by the Trafalgar House Construction (Asia) Limited (a part of the Kvaerner Group of Norway), Costain Civil Engineering Limited of Britain, and Mitsui and Co. Limited of Japan

The Tsing Ma Bridge, Hong Kong serves as a very important link for the Lantau Island and the urban districts of the Hong Kong city.

The Tsing Yi Trunkroute Viewing Terrace, located northeastern of the Tsing Yi Island, provides a panoramic view of the Tsing Ma Bridge, Hong Kong in China. The Visiting Guest Center is another place you can be in. To know more about the Tsing Ma Bridge take photographs of the bridge or buy some picture postcards for your friends.

You can reach the Visitors Center by hiring a car or a taxi. You can even travel there by taking a private coach. To catch the bridge in its most gorgeous form, do visit it between 7.30 pm to 12.00 midnight, Mondays to Sundays.
