At Cat Street Galleries in Hong Kong the shops and stalls offer curios and collectibles at far more reasonable prices. There's a long march of Mao memorabilia (everything from busts and statuettes to badges and alarm clocks), and you can kit yourself out with People's Liberation Army bags, belts and even holsters. But, today, as many dealers have moved to the Cat Street Galleries (near Lok Ku Road) and, with the growth of new antique shops on Hollywood Road, Cat Street has become a flea market for junk collectors. Still, you can find fascinating collections of odds and ends, and bits and pieces, and all sorts of useful and useless treasures.
