After the sultan's death the city passed on in the hands of his son Sultan Ibrahim Lodi. He ruled Agra till he fell fighting to Babar in the First battle of Panipat that was fought in the year 1526. Ram Bagh in Agra is a wonderful garden laid by Babar.

The Mughals have left an indelible mark in India when it comes to the different monuments, structures and gardens they have constructed. Ram Bagh in Agra is one of the oldest gardens in India laid out by Babar, the first of the Mughal emperors. According to record the garden was laid in 1528. The beautiful garden of Ram Bagh is situated at 2 km north along the coastline of Yamuna. It is located 500 m north of the Chini Ka Rauza. After his death Babar was first buried here. Then he was permanently interred at Kabul in Afghanistan in honor to his wishes.

The Ram Bagh garden is visited by all, who come to Agra. This is a major tourist attraction here in Agra. The garden is well maintained and looked after. You would like the sight of the colorful flowers at every corner of the garden. The fragrance of these flowers pervades through the garden. You can bask in the cool shades of the trees. The Yamuna River that flows alongside makes for a beautiful background to this garden. The Ram Bagh garden is an ideal place to bring your beloved to spend a wonderful time.
