The Doda Alada Mara is a giant Banyan tree located in the village of Ramohalli, approximately 28 kilometers west of the city of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.Geographicaly this giant tree is located in the Omkar hills, which is said to be the highest point in Bangalore. Tourists on their way to to Doda Alada Mara can also turn towards Manchenbele Dam another beautiful site just a few minutes drive from the tree. This enormous tree covers 3 acres and is one of the largest of its kind. It is said to be 400 years old.
Omkar Hills where the tree exists is few kilometers from Rajarajeshwari Nagar, presents breathtaking views of southern Bangalore. Rajarajeshwari Nagar is an area to the southwest of Bangalore, Karnataka, India, on the Bangalore-Mysore Highway. It's a magnificent arch that marks the entrance to the area is visible from the Mysore Road. The arch was built by the Rajarajeshwari Temple Trust and was inaugurated by former Prime Minister Shri P. V. Narasimha Rao.
