Andaman and Nicobar Beaches

Introduction:

The beaches in India are famous for their overall scenic places and climate especially the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. These Islands are famous in equality with the Mauritius beaches that are very scenic and have a plenty of natural beauty due to which one may literally fall in love with them. Most of these beaches provide the coral reefs and clear waters while some provide with variations in even sand and water quality in the same area on the same beach. There are almost different levels of water on the same beach that may thrill anyone. The Andaman and Nicobar Beaches need a special permission to be visited and they are protected for the natural resources and are preserved for the tourist attractions. These natural mementoes are not allowed to be taken out of the island.

The attractions and tourist attractions:

The various exotic natural views or facilities that one can experience are wildlife sanctuaries, tribal reserves, national parks, mangroves, wild orchids, dolphin, whale, fishes, sea turtles. Andaman and Nicobar beaches are nests for the Leather Back Turtle, Green Sea Turtle, Hawksbill Turtle and Olive Ridley Turtle. One can even see the Water Monitor Lizard, Salt-Water Crocodiles, Reticulate Python. The bird kingdom here, include the Megapode, Seiftlet, Hornbill and Nicobar Pigeon. People come here to even study the natural beauty on the island. Andaman and Nicobar beaches provide a facility of various water sports. These include scuba diving, yachting etc. There are other attractions like the underwater sports, elephant safari, trekking, lagoon cruises, island camping. The most enthusiastic tourists have more to the package. There are the Cellular Jail, Ross Island and Viper Island, which are also the tourist attractions.

Period of visit and approach:

The best time to visit the Andaman and Nicobar Islands is from October to May as it is more scenic during these period and have nice climate in this period. The Islands provide various accommodations that include the beach resorts, hotels and cottages. The approach to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands is by air. Port Blair is connected by air with Chennai, Delhi, Bhubaneswar and Kolkotta. Water approach is also available to reach here. It is from Kolkotta, Chennai and Vishakhapatnam to Port Blair.
