All participate in the feast that is held every year in the last week in Fort Kochi, Kerala. The Carnival seems to be crowned by the procession which is indeed a very colorful affair.

The Indira Gandhi Boat Race, Cochin is a grand fest set amidst the lush greenery and the rolling backwaters of Cochin. The Indira Gandhi Boat Race, Cochin is usually conducted during the last week of December. This boat race is just the right finale to the Tourism Fair that is held just before it. This boat race ends with the much coveted trophy being given away. This trophy was instituted in the loving memory of Indira Gandhi who was the late Prime Minister of India.

Attachamayam Festival, Cochin

The Attachamayam Festival, Cochin is one festival that adds a lot of color to the place and one gets to see and feel the vibrancy and participate in it. Here one also gets to see nearly all the art forms of Kerala that the state is famous for. This is held at the beginning of the Onam festival. Today the event is a commemoration of a royal custom of the imperial Maharajas of the state of Cochin. Even today this procession has been able to retain the original majestic charm and the fantastic manner in which it was conducted previously.
