History of the Bolghatty Palace, Cochin: The Dutch traders had built the palace in 1744AD. The villa was later refurbished and a beautiful garden and some other extensions were also added to it. Later, it was used as the residence of the Dutch Governor and then served as the seat of the British Governor during the period of British rule in India.
Present Condition of the Bolghatty Palace, Cochin: The old villa ha snow been transmuted into a luxurious heritage hotel that is administered by the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation.
