Indira Gandhi was assassinated on October 31st 1984 by her own trustworthy bodyguards. This beautiful white bungalow was later on converted into a museum of worth.

The Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum, New Delhi is surrounded by a beautiful garden. After coming out of the house the tourists and visitors reach the garden where Mrs Gandhi was shot dead. The place is covered well. The dried spots of blood though faded are still visible. The enclosed glass gives the effect of a river.
The museum is not only specialized in the personal belongings of Mrs Gandhi and her son but the scribbles of Mrs Gandhi are also on display. The scribbles represent her love for the country.
