Delhi today is the product of the British government's decision to shift the capital
of India from Calcutta. Delhi standing on the banks of the Yamuna, is a part of
the National Capital Region or the NCR comprising of Delhi, Delhi Cantonment and
New Delhi. Delhi had been the capital of many kingdoms the last being the Great
