The annual festival is a nice place to enjoy the old as well as the contemporary productions that are selected and staged before the audiences. The other wing was established to develop the concept of theater within the children who range belong to the group of 8 to 18 years of age. The Theater-in - education that has later been renamed as the Sanskaar Rang Toli is proud to host the numerous stage shows that it performs all throughout India. Besides these two wings, there are the active Extension Programme and the Publication Section. Shruti is the name of the literary forum that is housed by the National School of Drama.
Selection of the students is finalized through series tests that are recognized
as one of the most difficult tests in India done solely on the basis of personal
talent. After the students pass through the screening tests they are required
to go through a phase of intensive hard work and training. Students are required
to produce plays based entirely on their imaginations. These plays are then
staged later in the public. Enjoy the National Theater Festival that is held
every year during the second week of January.
