Independence Day Celebrations, New Delhi

Undoubtedly the most important day in the Indian history is 15th August day, the day when India achieved its independence. The Independence Day Celebrations reminds one of the hundred years of the fierce struggle that India had to wave to win its battle of independence. So it is a national celebration that is celebrated to commemorate the ultimate day in he history of India.

Though the Independence Day Celebrations are held in every part of the country, the celebration has a special significance in the Indian capital of Delhi. The Independence Day Celebrations in Delhi begins with the Prime Minister of India addressing the nation from the top of the Red Fort. The address is followed by a march past of the police and the armed forces.

The Prime Minister in his speech highlights the achievement of the government in the past few years and also addresses the various important issues that are of great concern to the country. The speech also contains a few words of tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their life to gift the Indians with the long carved independence.
