As a seat of the Krishna devotees, the ISKON Temple of Delhi is one of the 40 temples that are maintained across the country by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. The temple, like the other shrines of ISKON, has been constructed with the prime mission of spreading the messages encapsulated in Bhagwad Gita, the sacred book of the Hindus. The ISKON Temple of Delhi is a major seat of the Hare Krishna cult initiated by Acharya Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Numerous Krishna devotees from across the globe flock in here to soothe themselves in the holy sanctum.

Located in Raja Dhirshain Marg, the ISKON Temple in Delhi is a popular destination for devotees from across the city and beyond. The temple is a beauty in itself, marveling the visitors with its intricate artwork. As it is a recent construction which dates back merely to 1998, the temple is distinctly modern in its décor and design. The ISKON Temple wears a modest and elegant look as beautifully engraved works adorn the walls representing the saga of Radha-Krishan and Sita-Ram.

The temple has a large central hall replete with models of several Hindu gods and goddesses. The temple also has a museum which features a fine display of the Hindu epics and with regular recitals and discussions, seeks to inculcate a better religious understanding among the devotees. A visit to the temple is indeed an elating experience as it opens up new avenues to the devotees giving them new understandings of the culture and religion of the country. The museum here is a fine blend of science and religion as it uses the Animatronics Centre here hosts regular shows to narrate the various chapters of Hindu mythology, especially the feats of Lord Krishna. The temple even has three robot models of Krishna, Arjuna and Srila Prabhupada.

The temple is visited by devotees and tourists across the year. The kirtans, pravachans and aartis performed by the temple are particularly attended for the devotees each day. The festivals however, see the maximum flow of visitors as the occasions like Janmashtmi are observed here with grandeur.
