One important medieval century attraction of the city of Delhi is the Shah Alam’s Tomb which is located in Delhi and can take you to the times in which it belonged. The tomb was very much inline with the kind of respect that the emperor, queens, and saints usually got during those times.

Their lives were respected and their death was well remembered by the people and often structures and monuments were built as a mark of respect to those that died.
Shah Alam’s Tomb in Delhi is one such structure that has been built to celebrate the life of the great saint Shah Alam, who had gained a lot of prominence and importance during the time and rule of Feroze Shah Tughlaq in the fourteenth century.

According to historical facts the tomb was built by the Emperor himself after the death of the saint, who was revered quite a bit during the rule of Tuglaq. The tomb is located near the banks of the Jamuna River and at the crossing of Outer Ring Road and Loni Road.

The architecture of the place is simple yet appealing and takes you back into the pages of history and lets you be in the medieval period of the fourteen century.
Other than the tomb one can check out the mosque which has three domes and other attractions which are nearby to this place.

A major attraction of this mosque is a separate small chamber in the mosque that has been specifically used for the use of women which has intricate carvings that can go a long way in giving testimony to the architecture of the tomb. One can also check out the oldest bridge of Delhi one which is built on nine arches out of rubble to prevent the water of river Yamuna from entering the drain.
