Many of these species are endangered and threatened due to poaching.

A safari is the best way to explore a region as well as its culture and traditions. Safaris gives an insight is nothing less than a treasure that remains with the traveler throughout the rest of his life. And in this regard what else can be better than a camel safari in the endless expanses of the Great Indian Desert. Even though there are other option like Jeep or horse the camel is always best suited for a desert safari since it is ship of the desert and a good companion in the loneliness of the desert. A desert Safari in India can prove to be the most adventurous and rewarding of all types of safaris especially in the state of Rajasthan the land of the mighty Rajput’s with the forts and the Havelis. The Camel safaris across the desert in the open country of Jaisalmer and Bikaner with accompaniment of the folk music and the folk dance can turn out to be an unforgettable experience of a lifetime. The stars in the desert night sky and the changing landscape of the sand dunes of the desert are some extra bonuses and rewards for the lone traveler.
