The main theme of the festivity is the church of Our Lady of the Mount One a hill in Quelim, the chapel in which the statue of Madonna is seen holding baby Jesus in her arm. This festival symbolizes faith and security. A two-way celebration: This festival is in remembrance of the lady of the mount as she protected and made miracles happen. On the festive day, the Hindu’s and the Catholics so as to say thank you cover the statue with ornaments. The statue as well as the chapel has now become old.
