Shri Chandreshwar temple is situated on the top of the hill Chandranath. This temple dates to the pre-Christian era. That was when the region was ruled by the Bhoja Kings. The capital of the Bhoj kings was Chandrapur. Chandrapur is today’s Chandor. The main deity here is Shiva lingam. It is believed to be lit up by moonlight on the full moon night and is said to become mystically bathed in water.
