Ooty Hill Station, India originally known as Udhagamandalam is the capital of Nilgiri district. It is popularly known as the Queen of hill stations. This hill station is located near about 105 kms away from Coimbatore. The hill station lies at the height between 2280 and 2290 meters. The highest peak is Doddabette at the height of 2623 meters. Reaching Ooty Ooty is on a very narrow gauge railway, which is connected to Mettupalayan, 47 kms. The road ways are also well build. The local transport facilities are also available for the people to get to Ooty. The air traveling is also possible. Coimbatore is the nearest airport about 105 km. due to easy transportation there is a huge crowd of tourists here.
