The beautiful city of Guntur is located in Andhra Pradesh, India. With a population of about 800,000, Guntur is one of the largest cities of India and a home to Amaravati and Ancient Sitanagaram rich in history and cultural heritage. The history of the city of Guntur goes back to the period of Ammaraja I, one of the Vengi Chalukyan Kings. Uppalapadu Nature Conservation Bird Sanctuary located just four miles from the city is a dwelling of many endangered species of birds like Spot-Billed Pelicans, Painted Storks.

The Ancient Amareswara temple, which houses the swayambhu linga and Mahachaitya stupa of Buddha, is also a site not to be missed.

The city of Guntur also housed several caves, parks, museums, archaeological and spiritual centers.
