Experience one of the finest museum in Hyderabad- the Health Museum. The Health Museum that sated some 50 years back is one of the most frequented paces of Hyderabad. As you enter the museum that made its initiation in 1948, you can see the words of Jawaharlal Nehru written prominently at the entrance. “A very fine and healthy museum. I wish other cities had something like this.�- these are the words that welcome you to the museum.
Though there have been no major inclusions, no major exclusions the Health Museum is one of the most popular places in Hyderabad that it used to be in the past. Still retaining on to its old structure with no further divisions added to it, the Health Museum of Hyderabad boasts of its same old look that it had in the late 40s.
The Health Museum is divided into two separate sections that consist of two large halls. Visit the great hall that is related to nutrition and health. Also it is the hall that is dedicated to the various types of the illness like that of cancer, malaria, leprosy, anatomy, immunization and TB. The other hall is entirely dedicated to Motherhood and child birth.

The Health Museum of Hyderabad is located near the Public Gardens of Hyderabad.
Opening Hours
The Health Museum of Hyderabad is open from 11 in the morning to 1o'clock in the afternoon. And again it opens from 2 in the afternoon and remains open till 6 in the evening. This is the timing during the summers. In the winters the Health Museum opens at 10 and closes at 5 in the evening with a recess of 1 hour from 1 pm to 2 pm.
But do not visit the place on Fridays as it remains closed. Also the Health Museum is closed on all public holidays.
