The Christ Church is another landmark of this hill resort. Christ Church is a Protestant church located in Munnar, Travancore. Built in 1910 out of stone, the exteriors have worn out with time though the charming interiors still have a very nice ambience. It has 14 original rows of pews. The interior has lovely stained glass windows. You can also see many brass plaques inside the Christ Church, honoring the memory of the tea planters. The cemetery on the hill beside Christ Church has tombs that date back to 1894. The Church of South India now administers the church. The first Catholic Church in the High Ranges was Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church. Now the Sunday services are held here.
