Kolkata Giridoot (Mountaineering Club)

Since 1975, Govt. of India recognized Kolkata Giridoot (Mountaineering Club), an NGO, which is an active organization in the field of adventurous activities and social works. As one of the leading Indian organizations of its kind, this club has always kept its commitment in the value, attitudes, which are the essential part of the Indian tradition. The basic aim of this club is to maintain the Indian tradition and preserve the Indian heritage. The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India donated a large amount of money to the growth and development of Kolkata Giridoot (Mountaineering Club) as an Institution.

Kolkata Giridoot (Mountaineering Club) situated in Chandernagore, a city near Kolkata, which always maintains its French connection. This mountaineering club has built a cultural association between India and other countries of the world. Kolkata Giridoot (Mountaineering Club) helps Universities, Colleges, Schools, Clubs and Individual (Non-Profit assistance) to encourage the students, who want to come and enjoy the experience the adventure of mountaineering.
