The bridge presents one of the feats of engineering putting forth the British architecture. One more bridge called Hoogli Bridge joins the two mainlands of Howrah and Kolkata. In the city of Howrah there is spread the largest botanical garden of India. The Botanical Garden contains the Banyan tree which has the largest canopy in the world. This banyan tree is one of the most favorite attractions to the tourists. The Bengal Engineering College is Howrah, Kolkata's oldest technical institute. The city premises also contain Belur Math where lies the headquarters of Ramakrishna Mission which is quite a serene place and very supportive for peace devoted community.
