Alibagh or Alibaug is a beautiful beach in the Konkan region of Maharashtra of
India. Alibagh is the head quarters of Raigad District. Alibagh beach has many
resorts that are ideal for weekend getaways. The tourists can reach Alibagh in
an hour by catamaran or a three-hour drive from Mumbai . The vegetation of Alibagh
resembles the tropical island. The beaches fringed with lush green trees and palms.
It is located 100 km from Mumbai and it is a wonderful place to visit through
out the year. The village like atmosphere is liked by the tourists and the affluent
people of Mumbai .

There is a strong undercurrent. It is best not to swim out to the sea unless one is a proficient swimmer. However , it is great place for sun bathing.
