Dahanu-Bordi was once an isolated and barren place. The first settlers of this beach side village were the Iranians. They slogged out to make Dahanu-Bordi a famous place for fruits, mainly chickoos. The main place of visit is Udwada – commonly known as the Mecca of Zoroastrians. This temple houses the sacred fire of the Zoroastrians and this fire has been kept alive and burning for more than thousands of years.
