Dadar Suburb Mumbai

Dadar is a suburb of Mumbai. Dadar is the only railway station which is common to both the central as well as the western line. This feature makes the station most crowded in Mumbai. Dadar is divided into two parts the east and west. The eastern part of Dadar is popularly called as Dadar T.T. this, Dadar T.T. is housed the Dadar Tram Terminus which is closed with the closure of the tram network. The eastern part of Dadar is also known as the Central Dadar as it lies in the central line. Dadar West is referred to as Dadar B.B. This so because, Dadar lies in the western line which was once known as the part of Bombay and Baroda railroad. The Dadar-Matunga-Wadala-Sion scheme of 1899-1900 was the first planned suburban scheme in Bombay.
