The exquisitely ornamented Brindavan Gardens is one of the most popular travel destinations of Mysore, Karnataka. It has been laid across the River Kaveri beneath the KRS Dam spreading over 150 acres of land. From Mysore it takes around 30 minutes to reach the place. The rows of musical fountains and the dazzling lights create an enchanting and magical ambiance in the evenings in the garden.

As the sun sets behind the mountains on the western side, a magical spell is cast by the reflection of golden rays through the lakes. The garden is adorned with wide spread well-laid out lawns, picturesque rows of flowers and scintillating fountains encircling a small beautiful lake holding the grace of the musical fountain in its center. The spectacular environ created by the place can be felt only if one visits it. In December, 2004 the entire garden was renovated with new fountains and lights. Brindavan Gardens, Mysore has a terrace garden landscaped with decorated steps and water flows in between those embellished steps.

The main attraction in Brindavan Gardens of Mysore is its “Dancing Fountains” where the fountains twirl and dance to the tunes of music and creates marvelous color patterns. The musical fountains have a harmonic blend of water, colors and music. One can feel the charm of heaven on earth in the delightful blend of spectacular colors, illumination and vibrant musical fountains.

During the 60's Brindavan Gardens was a favorite location for the film makers of both Indian and foreign movies. Today any kind of shooting is strictly prohibited and one can luxuriate in the scenic splendor of the magnificent garden.

To reach the actual site of the Brindavan Gardens, travelers need to walk about 1.5 kms from the main gate of the park. Located 15 kilometers from the center of the city auto rickshaws and taxis are the most comfortable and reliable mode of communication.

Visiting Time: Brindavan Garden is open from 7.00am to 8.00pm

Illuminating Time: Monday – Friday: 6.30pm – 7.25pm

On weekends the illuminating time is 6.30pm to 8.25pm
