Introduction Puri is one of the four holy dhams in India. Considered as the hallowed seat of Lord Jagannath Puri, India is washed by the waters of Bay of Bengal and embraced by the causarina-fringed beaches. It is very near to the capital city of Bhubaneshwar and is situated just 60 kilometers from it. It is also one of the famous beaches on the eastern coastline of the peninsular India. Another place of interest is the Ananda Bazar, which is the largest food market in the world. One of the most famous temples is the Gundicha Mandir that is closely related to the festivity of the Rath Yatra of Puri. Another magnificent site to visit is the Atharnala Bridge that was constructed during the 13th century. Puri, India is also considered as the gateway to the famous Sun temple of Konark.
