Verve is the name of the inter-college fiesta prearranged by the Express Youth Forum (belonging to the Indian Express, Pune) and has a quiz as part of the many contests that make the entire fest. Primarily because the quizzes have been planned by the EYF people who did not know the word "quiz" started with a "Q", Verve has been the scene for some incredibly unbelievable mistakes and maddening formats.

While most of the festivals in Pune are inter - collegiate festivals, many colleges manage their own in-house fests to keep the spirits alive.

Scarcely any person in any college knew anything about the Mensas, or the Shyam Bhats or the B C Joshis.
