Attractions in Tattapani:
Tattapani's hot water spring itself is the main attraction of the place. A chain of small hot sulphur springs pop up along the right bank of the river Sutlej over an area of one square kilometer. These hot sulphur springs are believed to have medicinal value and a dip in these steaming springs will provide the much-needed relief to the diseased. The hot water ponds though, are different from natural springs. These springs simply vanish when the level of the river rises in June-July and reappear in November-December. Visitors make natural bathtubs with small pebbles and relax in the hot water for hours. This place is also a popular pilgrimage center and in the month of January and February it is considered auspicious for a dip.
