Surrounded by beautiful hills and snow capped mountains is the Location of Shimla. Shimla is a hill station of the state of Himachal Pradesh in northern India. Shimla Weather can roughly be divided into five seasons like Spring, Summer, Monsoon, Autumn and Winter. The Spring season lasts from March to April, Summer is from May to June, Monsoon are from July to September, Autumn is from October to November and Winter is from December to February. During spring the temperatures are between 10 to 20 degrees C. In summer temperatures are between 16 to 28 degrees C, in monsoons from 13 to 20 degrees C, in Autumn from 10 to 23 degrees C and in Winter from -7 to 10 degrees C. Shimla Weather during Spring is generally clear with occasional rains with thunder, in the summer it has generally clear skies but air could be smoky due to forest fires. In the monsoons the atmosphere is cool and humid as it can rain continuously for some days. In autumn the skies are clear with chilly evenings. But in winter there is dull weather with frequent snowfalls. Therefore summer is a beautiful part Shimla Weather. There is no specific best season to visit as each season has its own charm. Warm clothes are needed throughout the year. During summers you can wear light warm clothes but in winters heavy woolens are a necessity. You should also have a pair of good footwear as you will need good grip in the snow.
