ISKCON Temples, India:

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness society is abbreviated to ISKCON society. The ISKCON society is an international society, which has formed devotees of about 190000 and developed around 6000 temples all around the world. It has more than 350 centers and 60 rural communities. It hosts around 50 schools and 60 restaurants all around the world. The main aim of this society is to teach the people the basic Bhagavad-Gita and it's importance and it's saying to everyone all over the world. I promotes for the well being of society the main teachings of Bhagavad-Gita. It is famous by the names of Radha-Krishna Temple and Hare Krishna Temple. These temples are open throughout the year no matter of the seasons or holidays.

History:
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada founded the Hare Krishna movement. It was entirely completed in 1998, which was a complex of temples. ISKCON was initially started as a spiritual society in New York. It was in the interest to spread the message of Bhagavad-Gita. It was founded by Swami Prabhupada himself. There exist about 40 ISKCON temples in India itself. Carrying forward the teachings of ancient Vaishnava tradition, the philosophy and practice, the spiritual temples have made an impression on the minds of the people. These temples preserve the pleasantness in it and are very calm and quiet. It is followed by many people all over the world. It is also sometimes said that one attains a mental peace and harmony after visiting this place.

Mission:
The ISKCON temples, India are dedicated to and mostly promote its sayings of Lord Krishna from the Bhagvad-Gita. They were built by the Hare-Rama Hare-Krishna group followers, which consisted of followers all over the world. These complexes are beautifully built. They are one of the few temple complexes that exist in India. There are beautiful Russian paintings by famous Russian artists. These pictures depict ancient times. The pictures are of different past times and consist of Radha Krishna, Sita, Ram, Laxman, Hanuman and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Various famous special programs are held in these complexes. These include Kirtans, Aartis, Pravachanas and Prasadams. They are occasionally held during the week or are regularly held every Sunday. Famous ISKCON temples in India are situated in Delhi, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Each of these 4 complexes is famous for different specialties and has some unique features.
