Scuba Diving in Indonesia

Indonesia - Jakarta - Lombok - Semarang - Solo - Yogyakarta - Bali
Indonesia, being the world’s largest archipelago, has almost 80,000 km of coastline with nearly 3.1 square km of tropical seas. Scuba diving in Indonesia is a diver’s paradise because here, there is a low density of divers, warm water, beautiful corals, plenty of colorful reef fishes and crystal clear visibility of the underwater. The water temperature varies from 20 to 32 degrees Celsius or 72 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit.

Scuba diving in Indonesia is perfectly suited to all divers of different abilities. There are mainly two seasons in Indonesia, the dry and the rainy season. While the former ranges from May to November; the latter varies from December to April. The Komodo National Park region gives you a wonderful experience in Scuba diving which is entirely different from the general Scuba diving. Also, you can dive here on both the seasons.

However, the current patterns of Indonesia are extremely complex as well as unpredictable. Though in most areas, the tidal range is a bare minimum of 1 to 3 meters, but it becomes intricate as it passes through almost 13,000 islands throughout Indonesia. To add to the effect, the equatorial convergence of both the wind and the weather patterns in both the hemispheres, make its influence felt on Scuba diving in Indonesia.

The marine life in Indonesia is in deed beautiful to watch as the country has great reserves of bio-diversity. Scuba diving in Indonesia is a great experience in the sense that you can see some of the most amazing creatures of the underwater. These include pigmy seahorses, bobtail squids, blennies, gobies, basslets and dottybacks.

You can also see sharks, stonefish, mantas, eagle rays, tuna, barracuda, frog fish, leaf scorpions, mimic octopus, wonderpus and many other animals of the under world.

Scuba diving in Indonesia really offers you with great fun and enjoyment. So, don’t miss this out when you visit Indonesia.
