Ragunan Zoo is located in Pasar Minggu in South Jakarta. Spread over an area of about 1.4 km², the zoo was established in 1864 and moved to its present location in 1966. It is home to 295 wild species and 4,040 specimens.

This safari park is recognized as one of the most successful breeding centers of some of the most endangered species in the world. This is a free roaming ground of the Sumatran and albino tigers, rhinoceroses and China bears. The park also offers campsite, recreational forests and caravan park.


Gunung Gede National Park in Jakarta

This is one of the first five parks that had the privilege of launching Indonesia’s National Park Program. A mere 2 hours’ drive away to the south of Jakarta, this tranquil rainforest offers self guided trail and a spectacular view of West Java.

The national park consists of twin volcanoes, Gede and Pangrango connected by a high saddle known as Kandang Badak. The steep mountain slopes are cut into rapidly flowing stream which carves deep valleys and long ridges.
